Please let me know what you think of Benny. I met him at DjangoGirls workshop in Tel Aviv earlier this year in May 2016. I invited him to share with us his idea for a Keynote speech at PyCon CZ. He's very active in the Open Data community in Israel, active in the Python Community, a Django hacker and overall a very nice and interesting guy. He'd be flying out from Tel Aviv, so I estimate costs would be around:

Flight: 8,000czk 3 nights hotel: 2,500czk x 3 == 7,500czk Airport <->: 1,000czk TOTAL: 16,500czk

I'm Benny Daon, known online as @daonb with this short bio of: "Father, Coder, Pythonista, Djangonaut, Hacker, Tel-Avivian || A node in many networks master of none || A free-radical-wanna-be"

I've been coding for 33 years now, starting at my Bar-Mitzvah with an 8-bit Atari. After a successful gig as co-founder and CEO of Shunra Software (here's the 1998 web page of our first product The Cloud) , I've spent most of the last 8 years coding for sites using Python, Django and Flask. and weaving a network of developers. I've been one of the founder of PyWeb-IL from which the Open Knesset project grew, later giving birth to its mother org - The Public Knowledge Workshop. In the last year I've been freelancing for the Museum of the Jewish People in Tel Aviv, bringing their datasets to the web i.e. here's what we have on Brno [1].

I would love to come to PyCon CZ and give a keynote titled "PEP1 and The Future of Government" in which I'll present one of the least known super powers of the Python community - PEP1. I'll start with some background about governments - presenting a maker's view of ancient Greece, then jumping > 2000 years to the most powerful technical document ever - RFC 791- and the IETF from which it came. I will follow with an overview of what PEP is and examples from popular PEPs such as PEP8, PEP20 and PEP373 (EOL for python 2.7) and finish with a dive into the PEP process itself and why I will vote for the first political party that adopts it.
