We want to have a guide around Brno for conference attendees. We agreed on hiring @michalkasparek to write it for us - he's the author of http://brnonow.com/ and http://poznejbrno.cz/. We also offered him he can include links to these two guides for those who wish to learn more about Brno.
We also consider getting some (or printing our own) USE-IT maps for attendees: http://use-it.travel/cities/detail/brno/ But that's maybe worth a separate issue.
The guide will be printed as part of the conference booklet every attendee gets. It will also become a separate page on our website. The guide should reflect specifics of attendees as a target group for a "tourist guide" and it should also reflect the fact, that it will be both printed and on web (links). Subsequent English proofreading will be probably handled by @baradrb. There is no deadline except of ~2 weeks before the conference - earlier we get the guide, more we can promote it. I briefed @michalkasparek with all the details in an e-mail conversation, but we still haven't provided him with several inputs:
[ ] The https://github.com/pyvec/cz.pycon.org-2016/issues/57 suggests we will need content for "Getting here" section on our site, which consists of the guide and two other pages - Traveling to Brno and Recommended Accommodation. Do we want to outsource the two pages to @michalkasparek too as part of the contract or do we want to assemble them on our own?
[ ] Related to the previous point - how long should the guide be? We discussed price for approximately 2-5 standard pages. Not such an issue for a web, but very relevant for the booklet - 1 printed page? 2 pages?
I invited him to comment here in case he needs an assistance.
