CI takes far too long. Some of this is unavoidable, e.g., the example notebooks which demonstrate useful workflows and not just dummy toy cases as in the tests. However, there is no need for running CI on Ubuntu 18.04, now that Ubuntu 22.04 has already hit the shelves.
