Has anybody used this tool successfully on an Apple Photos library? (Photos Library.photoslibrary in the ~/Pictures folder)
Other tools like Gemini 2, Photo Sweeper X, and PowerPhotos provide duplicate-finding features for photos only, not videos. I'm not sure how they interact with the Photos.app SQLite database, but it seems to be common knowledge across developers... somewhere?
Anyways, I figured I'd post something here in case anybody has tips/expertise/similar desire
I'm definitely interested in replacing Photo Sweeper X with Czkawka, and Apple Photos support is the main think keeping me using it.
From merely the user experience, I think these elements would be needed:
limiting duplicate detection to full photos only, ignoring thumbnails, face-detection subimages, etc
engaging with the cloud storage for photos not stored locally
moving marked photos to a dedicated album instead of merely deleting them
