Ability to draw connections by using mouse click on side ports instead of Ctrl+Mouse Click.

Is it possible to provide the following feature
Mouse click on ports provided at the side of the "Connectors" and then drag 
attach the "Connection" to a port on another "Connector"

I remember this feature from Open Jacob Draw2d 
(http://draw2d.org/draw2d/files/demo/port_representation/index.html)

Please refer the attached image. You might get an idea about what i am 
trying to describe.
