Ctrl keys reverting from characters to labels (e.g. ↑ to <Up>)

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Custom keyboard with Ctrl keys (e.g. <Del>, <Up>, etc.)
2. Delete existing field entry in Calendar APP with Delete key until empty.
3. Ctrl keys with labels revert to texts (e.g. ↑ turns to <Up>)

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system
(iPhone/iPod Touch? Firmware version?)?
iTouch 2G/32GB, OS 3.1.2, iKeyEx3 0.2b

When the field is empty the keyboard switches to uppercase mode even if you 
don't have 
the shift key. Therefore, you have the provide the "shiftedLabels" too.
