Keep selected location visible on the map #102

What new or enhanced feature are you proposing?
If a location was entered or selected from the list, keep it marked (like
on Google Maps) while it on the map visible range.

What goal would this enhancement help you achieve?
This would allow to set destinations and see how far it and how to get
there. If this feature were extended to mark several points at once, this
would allow to mark important route way-points, like cross-road to turn.

BTW - GMapCatcher is a great application, thanks for developing it.

I believe is a great idea, I personally have to constantly add the locations to
the
markers, this will be very helpful!

Right now you could add as many markers as you need, just click on "Edit
Markers"

Thank you for your time

Thanks! It is a nice solution to draw a translucent mark, clearly visible but
not
hiding the map below.
The only minor issue is that sometimes the mark is re-drawn more often that the
underlaying map, so it becomes more and more saturated and opaque.

You can also change the marker to anything you want, just edit the image
(marker1.png)

...and Yes the opacity of the image changes when the offline check box is
unchecked,
that is something that might need fixing in a near future.
