Closed GoogleCodeExporter closed 9 years ago

What new or enhanced feature are you proposing?
A rectangular selection or curve selection in the gui
will help in easier download of section of maps.
See the attach file.

What goal would this enhancement help you achieve?
It will relatively easy to download the section of maps
that user want manually calculating width and height and
entering this data.

Resizing the Window makes available only the area that is required.
So in Short feature is already exist but not intuitive.

Yes, you are correct!

Resizing the window does the trick, but I agree that is not very intuitive. I always
downloaded a lot more that what I need or manually set width and height, that
is probably why I never seen the need for this feature.

Now a question remains:
How to draw the "rectangular selection" without affecting normal map navigation?

Thank you for you time

Issue 83 or 104 can be done to solve this issue.without affecting normal map
navigation

Issue 83 is about displaying some sort of scale.
I'm assuming that is enough for you and there is no need for a "rectangular
selection",
is that correct?

If that is the case I can merge this issue with Issue 83

I mean the horizontal and vertical scale on the main window.
Like the screehshot attached. If you mean the same then
yes i think issue 83 can be merged.
