I notice that in slow systems it takes a while to create a 1024x1024 image, and 
while 
it's creating the image the application is unresponsive...

It might be best to launch the export in a separate thread.

user is now able to export image, some more details are needed such as:
- visual notification when image is ready
- full output path to the image
