WebUI date format/language #10122

Open slartibartfast11 opened 5 years ago

slartibartfast11 commented 5 years ago

Please provide the following information

qBittorrent version and Operating System

4.1.5 Windows Server 2012R2

What is the problem

The date format (such as "Added On" for torrents) is in a MM/DD/YY format when the machine and the QT Windows interface is set for and correctly shows DD/MM/YY format.

What is the expected behavior

Dates in the WebUI should respect the language setting's preferred date formatting. English (United Kingdom) and English (Australia) should be using DD/MM/YY dates.

Steps to reproduce

Normal install of QT on a Windows system using DD/MM/YY language settings, enable WebUI, then observe date formatting.

sleeping, maybe...

I think the better solution would be to just let users specify their preferred date format, using DD/MM/YYYY HH:MM:SS

This is a more flexible approach and probably simpler to implement as well.

This is still an issue 21/09/2021 can we please fix this?

Hi, I'm hijacking this a little to ask about traction.

Right now qbittorrent "added on" column is not flexible (MM/DD/YYYY HH:MM). In line with the OP, some people would prefer DD/MM/YYYY. For me, I actually do want MM/DD, but I don't need YYYY. Ideally I could have MM/DD/YY HH:MM so it would take much less space.

I'm also interested, how the date/time format is determined in this column and how to change it.
