just use option something "Copy torrent files to" (don't remember correct name, don't have qBittorrent right now). then you will have all torrents you downloaded (even you used magnet links), so at any time you will be able to find anything you downloaded. .torrent files takes not so much space on disk (for example, my ~450 torrents take only ~25MB), so such "history" cost nothing.
@Kolcha This could help in some cases, but I asked for a rating system, that I can rate a torrent to avoid downloading it again, even if I don't have the torrent anymore.
Why downvote? I don't want to have junk torrent files that never get removed... Isn't it possible to have a single file that has the history of the torrents, and the rating for them?
qBittorrent isn't a media management solution. You should easily be able to remember what content you've consumed. I also don't know what idea you have in mind but it would likely be a very incomplete solution to your problem. Would the client keep a history of all completed infohashes? And poll the file/table/db each time you load a new torrent? Depending on what you're torrenting, there will be tens if not hundreds of infohashes for different releases of the same content. If you want to keep track of things, use Plex or imdb or trakt or your own excel sheet
If there are multiple torrents with similar names (or even identical), I can't remember which I've downloaded. It won't matter how well I remember. I didn't say it should be media management. I say I request to have some management of torrents , to make it more aware of what it's downloading. It can also battle fake torrents. How this could work? By storing which recent torrents were downloaded in the past. It can't be infinite of course. Should be up to X days or torrents, depends on user settings.
I don't think any of the services/apps you've suggested can track torrents. Only content. That's not the same.
And it's not such a weird request. It exists on some torrent clients. If you try to download a torrent you've downloaded in the past, you will get a dialog telling you that.
This could help to avoid re-downloading stuff we've downloaded before in case we don't want them anymore.
