qBittorrent Enhanced Edition #14535

Can the enhancements to qBittorrent Enhanced Edition be up-streamed?

Features:

  1. Auto Ban Xunlei, QQ, Baidu, Xfplay, DLBT and Offline downloader

  2. Temporary IP Filter API for advanced user

  3. Update MessageBox with changelog if NEW version is available

  4. Auto Ban Unknown Peer from China Option (Default: OFF)

  5. Auto Update Public Trackers List (Default: OFF)

  6. Auto Ban BitTorrent Media Player Peer Option (Default: OFF)

Anyone is free to offer Pull Request.

Any Chinese BT user should want the enhanced edition function to be accepted by the up-streamed.

I think a flexible auto ban list which can be configured would be better than just banning one country or selected providers. Users can configure it.

This should not have something to do with the country, just to block the leech BT client.

Can this be revisited? If not all features at lest the following:

If one feature is only to be selected please add:

  1. Auto Update Public Trackers List (Default: OFF)

@sirinath Anyone is free to provide Pull Request with one of the mentioned feature so we can review it.

Although remembering previous experience, usually "Enhanced Edition" features were either intended for too narrow audience, or contradicted some policies of qBittorrent. But, IIRC, "qBittorrent Enhanced Edition" is well maintained and has its own users, so there should be no problem using these features if you need them.
