I just noticed that the WebGUI has scrolling for the tag menu, however it just uses 1 column. Which can make it also slow and tedious for those with lots of tags. But the functionality is there.
Why is there a seperate choice for WebGUI and the "normal" GUI?

Have you a feature request for this ?
qBittorrent & operating system versions
qBittorrent: 4.4.1 x64 Operating system: Windows 10 Pro (10.0.1xxxx)
What is the problem?
Tag column width are set according to the longest tag. Which makes it a bit un-optimal if you either have a low rez monitor, lots of tags, or both. The tags will either fill the screen or fall of. It might not be big issue, or a problem for many users but its annoying.
Havent tested this for categories, but would assume its the same issue there.
possible solutions:
make the tags scroll when moving the mouse to the end of window
use scroll wheel to scroll through all the tag columns
have the column-width be set by the longest tag in that column only, so each column is a different width. Will make more columns fit on the monitor
have a (user decided) setting on where to crop the tag names, and have the full name on mouse-over.
Any one of them will most likely solve the problems for some, but not all so I suspect that several of those need to be implemented
I've added a screenshot of a fresh installed latest version of qBittorrent to show the issue, both with and without a super long tag name. Note I have tags from a1-a50 up to e1-e50, but only up to d11 are visible. If I remove the to tags with the longest names, they are all available again.
