qBit slow to start #16633

qBittorrent & operating system versions

qBitorrent: v4.4.1 Operating System: Windows 10 Pro x64 (10.0.1xxxx)

What is the problem?

I keep seeding about 8000 torrents and every time I start my computer the program takes a long time to launch. qBit does a full recheck of these torrents after each boot. For each torrent though, the startup shouldn't matter. But with so many torrents, booting takes a lot of time. Is there any solution to this problem? Anw, I found qbit v3x to boot faster than v4.4.1.

Try changing the “network interface” to your main network interface instead of the defalut option "Any interface"?

I have a similar problem, it shows "recheck" at startup, and it's very slow, the interface is unresponsive, the cpu usage is about 20%. And some daily operation will also make the UI stuck and slow.

At first I think if is the reason that I had too many torrents or trackers, but after I deleted some torrents, the same problem sitll there. Then I changed the network interface option to my network interface "ethernet" and found that the startup speed became faster.

Hope this helps you. (It seems that after version 4.4.x the startup speed did suddenly become slower?)

Thank you so much.

Same for me, the latest versions had the UI stuck when adding new torrents. Changing the network interface to Ethernet and not "Any interface" improved a lot.
