qBittorrent keeps freezing on open #18666

qBittorrent & operating system versions

qBittorrent: 4.5.2 x64 OS: Arch Linux Qt: 5.15.8/6.4.2 libtorrent-rasterbar: 2.0.8

What is the problem?

I'm not sure what the issue is, but randomly when I try to even open qBittorrent it just hard freezes, sometimes taking my system down with it. Looking in the log gives me no useful information.

@AbsyntheSyne use a version of qBit with libtorrent 1.2.18 instead

My qBittorrent also often freezes, then I disabled Validate HTTP tracker certificates, and this problem disappeared. Maybe, you can try this. Disable 'Validate HTTP tracker certificates' https://github.com/qbittorrent/qBittorrent/issues/15623
