When I rename the directory "/home/USERNAME/.local/share/qBittorrent" to "/home/USERNAME/.local/share/qBittorrent.bak" the problem is gone. Renaming back makes the problem reappear. I have a lot of "Missing files" torrents at the moment (about 40) because of a missing external drive. Maybe it's a timing problem.
Got the external drive back, so no torrents with "Missing files" anymore. Still the problem with two systray icons is there.
@joopbraak can you reproduce on 4.5.4 or latest beta ?
Sorry for my late response. This account is attached to an email address which I don't check to often. Yes I can reproduce it with 4.5.4. Only happens when I have like 30 torrents or more running. I must say I'm running it from Parted Magic, so everything is run from RAM. If I manage to build latest beta I will try and report back.
If I manage to build latest beta I will try and report back. @joopbraak thanks! Any progress ?
4.5.5 still the same problem (I didn't have the problem for a while because I didn't have so many torrents). Sometimes one systray icon, sometimes two. 51 torrents, 49 completed of which 2 seeding, 2 stalled. I will wait for the official 4.6 release.
4.6 still the same problem. My built has these libraries: Qt: 5.15.11 Libtorrent: 2.0.9.0 Boost: 1.83.0 OpenSSL: 3.1.2 zlib: 1.2.13
So no Qt6.
We need you to test a Qt6 build please
I see 4.6.1 is out with this fix: "LINUX: Fix invisible tray icon with Qt5 in Linux (thalieht)" When the build is out I will try and report back if this solves my problem.
Nope, that didn't solve my problem.
qBittorrent: 4.6.1 Qt: 5.15.11 Libtorrent: 2.0.9.0 Boost: 1.83.0 OpenSSL: 3.1.2 zlib: 1.2.13
I don't see how this would be related to the above issue, my only problem is the two systray icons, apart from that, qBittorrent is totally responsive. So not a big problem, I admit. I now am downloading only ten torrents to two USB pendrives and I already have this problem, so it doesn't only occur with a lot of torrents.
@joopbraak can you still reproduce on 4.6.6 ?
qBittorrent & operating system versions
qBittorrent: 4.5.2 x64 Operating system: Linux Slackware 15.0 x64 Xfce Qt: 5.15.8 libtorrent-rasterbar: 2.0.8.0
What is the problem?
See screenshot. One icon has the normal DL/UL speeds, the other one says: "Loading torrents...". This is not always the case, sometimes it starts up normally.
