I noticed something similar with another torrent, which I had downloaded to completion at another time, saved to another location. I had downloaded the same torrent recently, but only the screenshots. So when qbittorrent wasn't running, I copied the data over into the torrent folder location, then deleted one file that still had a .!qB extension because I had copied the complete file. I started up qbittorrent, opened that torrent, and qbittorrent started checking it. A while later, I shut down the computer... but maybe I shut down while the torrent was still checking? not sure. But when I started it up again, I saw the torrent at 26% completion or so, stalled. So I forced a recheck on that torrent, and it showed up as 100%. So maybe qbittorrent is not saving the save state correctly? You guys would know better.
qBittorrent & operating system versions
qb 4.54 64 bit on win 11 x64 (10.0.22xxx)
What is the problem?
qbittorrent shows torrent as ready for downloading, at 0%, even though there's data still in the folder

Additional context
I had 3 torrents that I have been using in qbittorrent, torrents writing to an external drive. I opened those torrent files in BiglyBT to do some swarm merging. I happened to start qbittorrent at the same time that BiglyBT was open, and so those torrents in qbittorrent showed errors. So what I did is I deleted those torrents in qbittorrent, but just the torrents, not the data. I finished the swarm merging in BiglyBT. Shut down computer / come back to it again. I opened qbittorrent, and got lots of errors, because I had forgotten to insert my external drive. I quit qbittorrent when I saw that the Errored field was static, torrents all sorted out, so I didn't quit while qbittorrent was assessing all my torrents. I quit qbittorrent. Then, attach my external drive, wait for Windows to recognize it and give it the correct drive letter. Start qbittorrent again. Added those torrents. But I noticed that two of 3 of my torrents, they show as 0% completion, even though there is data in the torrent folders, that is, files with .!qB extension. This entire process is all without connecting to the web. I am glad that I wasn't connected to the web, or perhaps qbittorrent would start downloading the files afresh. I had to pause those torrents, then force recheck, then it found the data, but the point is that qb started without looking in the folder first for data.
