Flatpak version needs run in background permission when closed to notification area #20512

qBittorrent: 4.6.3 Flatpak Operating system: Debian 12 Bookworm Stable x64 Qt: 5.15.10 libtorrent-rasterbar: 1.2.19.0 Gnome: 43.9

What is the problem?

When using the option to close the app to the notification area, Gnome considers the app to be closed and running in the background. If not allowed as a background app, the process is killed shortly afterwards.

This doesn't happen in the version from the debian stable package, but this last one doesn't seem to work very well.

Steps to reproduce

  1. Open qBittorrent
  2. Check the box to allow 'Close qBittorrent to notification area' in Preferences/Behavior/Desktop
  3. Click on the close window titlebar button

Additional context

You need to enable the 'AppIndicator and KStatusNotifierItem Support' extension in Gnome for the systray icon to work.

When this extension doesn't support the newer version of Gnome, this function breaks. They need to fix this! Could you reopen this issue?
