Closest I got was Added On column I can sort by that and that acts like a numbering column. I also use the search a lot to find by names and the leftside current activity status of torrent groups Downloading Competed, as well as the tracker groups.

because with a numbering tab its possible to get the total torents without using the filters sidebar , i dont use this side bar at all. To view the total number of torrent i need to open it every time and then close it again, its not good. What is the purpose of having a table view, without auto-numbering field, but alot of field who nobody even uses like info hash2 ? Which genius thought of that brilliant idea in the first place ?

on that note also when you grab a buch of torrents in the general tab below them it will be nice to have the sum of all sizes of all torrents that are selected , may be impelented in another tab to show theese type of statistcs Probably all of you have prety big tables with torrents and want to view the size of the selected torrents, from the table and all the table of torrents size(full size of torrents table). You need to work on theese type of ideas a little more, because torrent management is involving storage space(HDD which is not cheap) and now we are limited to calculate manually , I think some work need to be done in that area of the app its completely forgoten by now

Only torrents that have not been downloaded yet are numbered (enable torrent queue)

We are talking about two completely different things torrent queue is for a different purpose . A simple solution is needed - > tabs -> new tab -> show autonuber field I can't make it more simple than that , probably its not too hard to implement too. Its how you choose what field to be visible in the table of torrents

Two columns of numbering would be confusing. It may be worth implementing a display of the number of allocated torrents.

I still don't get it. Why do you want to see e.g. this torrent is number 5305 or that torrent is 496.

For clarity how many torrent i have loaded on my system sometime they are more than 100+ and i dont know how many they are. I need to keep them in check , to a certain number this will make managing them easier. Ex. if i see that total torrents n#225 i can decide to remove 100 of them but when i select i cannot see how many im selecting too this will fix alot of problems easily ... i can name just a few if you want ... you dont need alot of work to do it and its optional , people that need it will turn it on . The whole purpose of qbittorrent is to manage torrents is't it ? To have a central place where you can get the big picture .... how to manage them if i dont know even how many they are ?

To my understanding you want a way to see the total number of active torrents in the list and a way to identify how many you have selected at a time, to feel more easily in control of the list. Is that correct?

Some programs solve this list-usability issue by providing the number of selected items on the bottom of the interface in the status bar. Also some programs display the number of selected items in the context menu when right clicking the selected items. Also some programs display the amount at the top of the list. Just some other ideas about how to handle this.

Actually there was numbering column in v4.5.5 but it vanished in some version.

@loot-midget that's the queue and it can be re-enabled by enabling the queue in Options > BitTorrent
