Do you mean the regular GUI or the WebUI?
If on GUI: Either change the dark theme you're using (if 3rd party) or go to Tools
->Options...
->Behavior
->Customize UI Theme...
and change colors to something that satisfies you.
If on WebUI: Nothing I can propose now. Next release will allow you to actively choose dark/light variant. Or you can now choose a 3rd party webui.
Why don't you implement a proper default theme instead of making excuses? Also, Customize UI Theme doesn't even work. No option for changing the color of the highlights, text and so on.
Is what's happening in the video intentional?

No option for changing the color of the highlights
That's a side-effect of Qt's implementation, see #21616 & yes this needs to be considered/handled.

Double-click the color you want to change to be presented with a color palette or right-click & select Edit
.
Cant wait for a supported way to switch back to light mode. This dark mode is almost unreadable for me.
Please add default mode(being white) under Style selection. It's great that there is options but the Dark mode is just bad. I get that there is a customized button but it's not something I want to focus on each time I update the client.
I turned off the custom theme I've been using for a while... is this what it's supposed to look like by default with a dark Windows theme or do I need to reset a style.xml file somewhere?
EDIT: Oh, I have "Use alternating row colors" enabled, also. Turning that off is marginally better.

They made it so that it matches what your windows theme is. It was white by default.
Suggestion
White on bright cyan background? Dark purple on dark colored backgrounds? Dark green on dark colored backgrounds?
Easy access to countless of appreciated contrast themes out there to choose from and you ignored them all. Why's that?
