But Windows Task Manager constantly shows 30-165MB/s disk writes.
My wild guess that it could be a write cache. I.e. OS could hold downloaded data in RAM for a while and then flush it to the disk in large chunk.
Maybe you've enabled "Pre-allocate disk space for all files".

[qBittorrent v5.0.2] Windows11
What is the problem?
I am downloading torrents with 1-2MBs max Bandwith. But Windows Task Manager constantly shows 30-165MB/s disk writes. Even when all torrent downloads are stopped this continues for infinite time. This usually happens after a while when downloading very large torrents 300GB+ size.
May be problematic because it will wear out/destroy SSDs over time
Steps to reproduce
1.) Download very large file on Qbittorrent 2.) Let it run for a while 3.) Stopping all Downloads and Disk load write requests to that file stay very high even when not downloading anything for a long time.
Additional context
Heavy write load double checked in Windows Task Manager and Ressource Monitor
