What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. install B eID gui in Ubuntu 64 bit
2. open the tool
3. see that there is no known certificate

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
expected would be to have certain certificates available for signing and 
crypting, I've checked at administration that my Eid is working so it#s a 
software issue

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
3.5.2.5684 on Ubuntu 10.10 64bit

The 3.5.x Linux installers available on http://eid.belgium.be do not support 
Linux 64-bit.

There is a Debian package of the upcoming 4.0 release available for testing in 
the downloads list on this website. This package does not contain a GUI to view 
the contents of your eID.

-- Does this mean 4.0 will support signatures and co on 64bit systems in FF, 
OPenOfice ... but is not shipped with the Gui ?

Nous avons bien reçu votre mail concernant ubuntu.

Ubuntu 10.10 64-bit n'étant pas supporté par la version 3.5.x du eID 
middleware, nous vous proposons de installer le package deb disponible sur:

32-bit: http://eid-mw.googlecode.com/files/eid-mw_4.0.0-682_i386.deb
64-bit: http://eid-mw.googlecode.com/files/eid-mw_4.0.0-682_amd64.deb

Attention: ce packet est une version 'test'. Le eID viewer n'est pas inclus.

btw. why not changing to -- fixed ? - looks like the main part is working with 
4.0
