Allow users to collaborate with each other

  • IRC type group chat w/ individual or other group chats within larger group chat (hashtags w/in hashtags) - use case: I'm in the 'psychology discussion' room and I want to make another group chat with some of the people in that group. (easier interface than IRC and more intuitive)

The learning interface for V1 will contain the following:

• The name of the topic for which the question is posed
• An interactive white board
• A microphone on/off toggle
• A checkbox (answered/unaswered) and (End Session) submit button
• XP to be gained for the session

And a sidebar with 2 tabs:

• 1st tab: Chat
  • Each chat submission will have:
  • a timestamp
  • small avatar
  • "username: "
  • The chat and learning session must be persistent
• 2nd tab: Users

  • 5 star jquery rating plugin (something like this: http://plugins.learningjquery.com/half-star-rating/ )
  • Hovering over each user's profile on the sidebar gives a profile snapshot in a overlay popup
  • Username, overall rating, number of ratings, # of got help, # of gave help
