Feasible way to convert stepmania tracks to dds format? #9

This seems like a very solid stepmania clone for the nds and it seems to work amazing with the dsi and twilightmenu+. However, I am curious about the process of adding new tracks to the game. It seems as if some of the elements in thr preloaded tracklist are using some stepmania files however I don't really understand what the .dds file does. If its a difficult process totally understandable but if its something that an end user can easily do it'd be great if it were outlined in more detail

hey, the dds files are just bmps, they get created by dds if the options cache bg/thumbnails is enabled in the options. otherwise they are not necessary.
