Update feature count when a filter is applied #37799

Hello!

I have a Layer with point and apply a filter to reduce by a certain attribute. The feature "show feature count" shows the amounts of item without the filter applied. The total seem to work (example some 86000. But the categorized show values without the filter applied (in total some 516.000). Shouldn't it show the reduced figures?

QGIS version 3.12.0

@martinwachutka this is way too old, you must update to the latest 3.10 or 3.12 and test again, thanks!

Update:

Calculation is right when filter get applied before ticking the option box. When filter get changed figures don’t get recalculated.

Filter is not taken into accounts during feature calculation. Though I'm not sur if its even a bug, I feel this is more of a feature request.

Fromm y point of view it is/would be a very useful functionality as I use it very often to reduce e.g. the point selected within a shape based on some filter mechanisms…

How can I move it over to a feature request. Any things to consider as company on mebership level medium?

I'm just a contributor that try to improve things for my own uses. I'm sure that @gioman can change the request type and possibly a core dev could be more helpful than me regarding this as I already have a good amount of things that I want to improve and that I will try to do on top of my real work.
