Improve panels docking #47646

Feature description

Take a page from visual studio docking and allow panels to have autohide pins that when in autohide are just tabs on side. Allow us to mouse over or click these tabs to show the desired panel.

Really? So your https://github.com/qgis has nothing to do with https://qgis.org/en/site/? If it does you can use the action menu in the issue to move it to the right one. I am suggesting the panels like layers and overview collapse till needed for more space for the maps.

Correct. It is called additional context.

I recall I asked this some time ago and it was a limitation about Qt with autohide but I do not know if that is still the case
