This is about the the use of the word "style" in QGIS. There was "Style" tab in the layer properties, now replaced by "Symbology". But we still have:
Style (for a layer) which saves most of the layer properties
Layer Styling panel to set the layer rendering in the project
The Style manager which currently creates and manages symbols and color ramps.
I have nothing to propose yet but maybe could we find another term for the style manager.
