In the print composer, currently when you add a legend, it shows ALL the layers in the project instead of simply those visible in the map item. This obliges the user to clean the legend before using it. Not very user-friendly, particularly when you have a big project.
This has been reported and discussed as issue in the hub but given that it looks like a big UX fail i think it's worth a fix for 3.0
