Plugin Manager settings #24

I believe mixing categories of plugins with the plugin manager settings menu item in the plugin manager left-hand menu implies equivalence. I think it makes the settings harder to find. Anyone agree?

I do! May be, we can keep it in the left hand band but not have it contiguous to categories; at the bottom of the menu instead (have a vertical spacer between Setting and categories)?

+1. A cog/gear would also help.

You know, common settings icon?

sorry! I'd have checked my English dictionary. I thought it was an acronym for something like that But isn't it already the case? The current icon looks like that except it's a bit coloured (like the other icons in the dialog btw)

So far, "Settings" is now at the bottom of the menu and a cog symbol has been added.

Do you think a divider / vertical spacer is still needed?

As the menu is just a QListWidget, there is no possibility to lower the Settings item to the bottom. We only can put a spacer. After little tweaking the spacer height (a bigger looks better but... like a hidden/broken item) I made something like that: https://github.com/qgis/QGIS/pull/5372
