'Allocate Nodal Base Demands' doesn't work #102

I can't thank enough for the developers of this wonderful program. It is so useful and helpful for water professionals like me. While exploring its many functionalities I found that 'Allocate Nodal Base Demands' doe not work for me. It runs and says the demand has been allocated but nothing appears in the base demand field. Am I doing something wrong? I use 'For the whole network' and chose the option of 'Total demand'.

Dear Patha,

Indeed, there was a bug in this option in version 0.16 of QGISRed, which has already been ammended in the new version 0.17 that we hope to release shortly.

Thank you for observing the issue, and I am sorry for the delay as well as the inconvenience that this could have caused you.

I'm glad the app has been so helpful to you so far.

Regards,

Dear Fernando,

Thank you so much for creating this wonderful program. It is actually a life saver for me. I am heavily involved in modeling medium and small scale water networks (actually it is one of my hobbies) where use of expensive proprietary programs cannot be justified for several reasons. I have already spread the word about QGISRed to my colleagues to their delight.

I will be eagerly waiting for the new version.

Sincerely yours, Phatta Thapa @TEC International Co., Ltd.

Thank you very much Phatta for all your comments and for spreading this product among your colleagues.

Indeed, I forgot to tell you that QGISRed is a bit smart, and the demands applied in those nodes that are not connected to any supply source are cancelled when exporting the INP to carry out calculations, otherwise, EPANET would throw an error. Therefore, if you declare all demands in the nodes but do not declare any tank or reservoir, all demands will be cancelled when the model is exported.

Perhaps we had to inform about it in a message.

We hope to release the new version 0.17 within a month approximately
