Greetings everyone , initially i would like to congratulate on the plugin. I am a long time user of qgis and epanet, I already used several plugin to export hydraulic models from qgis. I am testing intensively to understand your ability. So far it has pleased me a lot.

The manual is good and allows an intermediate user of qgis to use the plugin without problems, but in the manual it is not very clear how to use the tool "tool".

? my question would be if you are not considering expanding the ability to save data to postgres or a .gpk file?

In my opinion working with shp folder is very painful and very difficult to store projects.

no more congratulations on the initiative

Hi @eliseu, Thanks for testing QGISRed plugin. Just now we are developing more tools and we don't want to advertise the plugin until we have a minimum of tools and functionalities. In that moment we try to improve the manual as much as we can.

Can you detail what you mean by the tool "tool"? I don't know which one you mean.

Concerning to use Postgres or geopackage, we want to implement it in some moment, but first, we have a lot of interesting tools to develop.

Boa Tarde,

segue em anexo um print do tela ;

conforme assinalado no anexo , nao entendi para que é utilizado esta ferramenta. Seria para associar o consumo(demanda) de água dos clientes?

Vou continuar a utilizar o plugin e ficar atento as atualizações.

Dear Eliseu,

My name is Fernando Martínez, and I am the leader of the QGISRed project.

First of all I want to thank you for your interest in the new Plugin. We are still in a first stage of development, releasing beta versions. The ultimate goal of the new plugin is to offer a free and professional tool to build and analyze water supply networks, which interface will offer at least the capabilities currently provided in EPANET, plus some other additionals taking advantage of the GIS environment.

In the beta version 0.7 launched last week we have updated the description of the product to highlight the capabilities already developed and the novelties of the new version uch as the editors of patterns, curves, controls and rules, which features overcomes that offered by similar products, trying to reach the standards of a professional product. We are currently developing the graphic and property editors of all elements to facilitate the construction of the model without having to use the QGIS tools (but exceptions). This will be part of the next beta version 0.8.

About your proposal to store the data in Postgres or geopackages, it is among our future objectives, but it is not a priority for now. Working with shape files has the advantage of a greater commodity working at the local level and the easier exchange of data, but it's true that compacting all data into a single file is an advantage that we will exploit later. Also working wigh databases will permit share data between different users in future.

We hope to know your opinion about the new editors included in beta version 0.7

Regards.
