Year of roughness coefficient prediction #95

Hello, it's great that the plugin is able to predict the roughness coefficient according to the formula e = e0 + at. However, the value e is currently calculated as of the day of the simulation (t = date of simulation - date of installation). I suggest adding the possibility to set the year (date) of the roughness coefficient forecast (t = forecast date - installation date). This will make it possible to determine the hydraulic parameters of the considered water supply network also in the future (e.g. perspective). Such an analysis will allow to specify the strategy of replacement or modernization of the operated pipelines, especially those subject to hydraulic aging (cast iron and steel without protective coatings).

In relation to this proposal, I find it very interesting and timely. However, first I have to fit it into the context of the QGISRed application.

The part intended to emulate EPANET is oriented to the academic world and to 'learn the fundamentals of network hydraulics'. Of course, it is also useful in the professional world.

The part of interaction with urban cartography is intended to be carried out by consulting companies and to develop master plans. Perhaps long-term roughness prediction could be included within a tool for asset management in the future.

In the last aim of QGISRed, building Digital Twin in connection with real data, one day we will also incorporate future predictions, but in this case, they are probably short-term and perhaps it does not make much sense to update roughness to long-term in this context.

I'm writing down the suggestion for its inclusion in versions after 1.0. Thank you very much for your collaboration.
