Instead of high-res, consider to them vectorially.
You can use Inkscape (or Adobe Illustrator, if you have a license or spare money...)
Note that the browsers natively render SVG: https://developer.mozilla.org/en-US/docs/Web/SVG
And an SVG is extremely close to HTML, so you can also style (and animate) with CSS, e.g. making pictures floating, or reacting to mouse hovering.
I have changed the theme of this issue because the problem is more general: we need to choose a common style for all the graphical parts of qibo
. I had a meeting yesterday about this and we decided to adopt Jadwiga's style (we will talk about it into the qiboteam workspace).
