Currently, flux dependence experiments (e.g. qubit frequency dependence on qubit flux) can be ran in two modes: 1. sweeping the flux bias/offset, 2. using a long rectangular flux pulse and sweeping its amplitude. After discussing this with users and parties that originally requested the second mode, I now have confirmation that this mode is practically useless and should not (and is not) be used for sweetspot calibration. Hence, it can be removed to keep things cleaner.
