One idea would be to provide a series of pre-fabricated site painter models (e.g. a human male, human female, other hosts, other objects), develop a GUI that allows a user to select an existing model, assign which samples came from each part of the model, then run that as an analysis.
This is a really good idea -- would basically require an indirection layer where instead of linking a specific sample id to sitepainter, you map samples to standard ids based on metadata.

this would be awesome. any update on sitepainter for integration?
Check in with Antonio and see what he thinks as well.

Figure out how to make this tool available as a visualization option. Could we provide certain pre-defined drawings (human for example), onto which we can map sample locations? Could possibly be based on env_matter or something that describes exactly where the sample was taken from.
Also, perhaps we could provide an interface that allows the user to drag/select samples onto the body site they came from? Allow them to chose a pre-existing site painter model (e.g. human, animal, maybe even geographical, whatever), then allow the user to pick which samples go where. Then when the analysis is done, the model can just be automatically painted?
