Investigation types are not details and utility is unclear #2222

We do not provide information on what these options mean, so we should a) create the help doc and b) add a link to it on this page.

In addition, several of them have overlapping realms of applicability and/or redundancy.

E.g. transcriptomics is a form of RNASeq which can be used for gene regulation analyses in Cancer Genomics as a subset of Population Genomics in at risk community. All of these are mutually-exclusive options on this list.

Maybe a related question is what is the goal of this dropdown?

This is a list from EBI so I assume INSDC. I believe the EBI data type list has also changed as follows:

Show a single list instead of multiple list and add a link to the EBI documentation. Don't add a default and add a pop-up/message with common used ones.

Solution, just add text beside the dropdown explaining each and linking EBI.
