VCard IO starts without notification (HTC Hero) #28

The application starts in the background without any user interaction.
-> as highlighted by Taskiller, but VCard IO seems not to be active

The phone contacts were imported via VCard IO and a .vcf file that is still 
on the SD card.

On HTC Hero with Android 1.5 and HTC Sense(latest public version at this 
date).

Does it actually start in the background, or just remain in the background 
after use?
Is "Receive SMS" enabled? (this could cause it to start without using 
interaction).

Receive SMS contacts disabled on my Samsung i7500, I've same issue. But this is 
so
rarely, maybe once or twice per week..
