Quantum Autoencoder and QML used on Medical data #12

Open MaldoAlberto opened 1 year ago

MaldoAlberto commented 1 year ago

Description

To use different quantum computing techniques focused on Machine Learning, as a principal base for the quantum autoencoder to be able to reduce data in a medical dataset, also to treat this result in a QML model to identify its performance and to show the advantages and the current potential that Qiskit has in this field, for more knowledge of quantum autoencoder I share a reference https://arxiv.org/pdf/1612.02806.pdf

@dsierrasosa how can indicate you as mentor?

dsierrasosa commented 1 year ago

I believe @GemmaDawson can assign me also as mentor, right?

MaldoAlberto commented 1 year ago

@GemmaDawson, could you add/assign @dsierrasosa as mentor for this issue?

jvscursulim commented 1 year ago

I am interested in joining this project. In the previous QAMP I worked with quantum image processing and I also have experience with classical autoencoders models

pranshi24yati commented 1 year ago

I am interested in joining the project, I have also worked on health care data previously to implement Quantum Machine Learning algorithm, and I have work on autoencoders as well.

poig commented 1 year ago

I am interested to work/explore on this topic, where I have experience with medical tabular data in the qamp2023 fall and wish to dive deeper into theory and math if possible.

dsierrasosa commented 1 year ago

Hello Everyone, glad to see you are interested in this project! Jun great to see you in this project!!!!!!

deveshq commented 1 year ago

Hi @MaldoAlberto, I'm Interested to work on the project. I've attended the 2021 Qiskit Global Summer School on Quantum Machine Learning, and currently working on the application of QML and variational algorithms in pharmaceuticals. Hope to explore and learn more in this field.

adekusar-drl commented 1 year ago

Just in case, there's a tutorial on QAE: https://qiskit.org/documentation/machine-learning/tutorials/12_quantum_autoencoder.html

dsierrasosa commented 1 year ago

Hello, if you are interested in working on this topic don't forget to register

dsierrasosa commented 1 year ago

@dsierrasosa hey, it's probably not a good idea to post this link here. It might lead to a lot of spam applications from non-advocates

Good idea, thanks!

Greetings,

Hope you are well. I am interested in working on this project! I am a QML and Quantum Optimization Engineer, and am deeply interested mainly due to the potential of this project for Quantum Image Processing.

Hi @jvscursulim @poig @pranshi24yati @deveshq @ACE07-Sev @AbdullahKazi500 ! As a reminder this is for qiskit advocates and to be able to work on this project register, as you all have experience in QML, if you want to register, so we can coordinate a meeting between the interested parties, remember that in your emails is the form to have a control with the squad, hope to work with you :smile:

ACE07-Sev commented 1 year ago

@MaldoAlberto Greetings,

Hope you are well. I have not received the email yet. Has it been sent out?

ACE07-Sev commented 1 year ago

@AbdullahKazi500 Greetings Abdullah,

Thank you so much for the prompt reply, noted! I left you a message on LinkedIn by the way, let's chat sometime.
