Swift 3 #5

it'd be cool to have a swift 3 version, if you have any interest to create a branch i would like to help with that.

I just merged changes from @grifas who converted the code to Swift 3.

The old code is still available in swift-2.2 branch.

Let me know if you have any issues with the converted code.
