I’ve noticed that people have stated that this is a bug. But have not asked the question of whether there is an A/B fix.
Additional context
I’ve downloaded and used the API from March 27. And I’ve not had an issue till a couple days ago. It’s occurred after I shut off my phone fully, because I hadn’t done it in a while.
I noticed the recommendations page works fine when selecting the other “sections” at the top where it suggests to you whether you’d like to see “Gaming, XQC, Minecraft, etc” but when switching to “All” it bugs out. I’ve noticed that in the recommended sections, there are no mini shorts “blocks” that appear. And instead there’s only large single short thumbnails here and there.
People also stated that the app works fine on new accounts/alt accounts. So this has something to do with the recommendations YouTube offers and the ads or shorts that it tries to load.
