Issue Description: Failing while building logback-parent version 1.3.1 using mvn clean install (ch.qos.logback:logback-parent:1.3.1)

JDK Version: 1.8

Build CMD: mvn clean install

MVN Version: 3.9.6

gradle version - NA

Error Log:

Use higher jdk than 8. Try 11
