crashes when in use with optifine G8

The Forge version of Immersive Portals mod is being provided but not supported. You can still report issues, but all Forge-version-specific issues won't likely be solved especially the mod compatibility issues. When in use with optifine will crash during loading resulting in error code 0, took me ages to figure out it was this mod, may be an issue with lower end PCs, unsure of actual cause as a crash report isn't written. while i love this mod, im sure i can live without it :(
