Hello, great idea, your audio meter, I would be glad to see some further features.
The graphics should scale better (i.e. larger) for large displays (e.g. 10 inch tablet).
Maybe, add some peak hold mode, set window size for average mode, etc.
Also, it might make sense to "learn" the maximum physical level that can be recorded by the built-in microphone.
Future features: Record points for average sound (e.g. in order to assess background level in your environment). Deal with extern microphone/sound sources, display state/colour remotely. Different views (like analogue, blue on black LED etc.)
