Meeting notes 1/16/19

Last Week's items:

ORB-SLAM team:

[x] Save map from ORB-SLAM to file
[x] Use rviz to compare ORB-SLAM and local_position/pose
- ORB-SLAM coordinate axes and scale do not correspond with real-world (Solo) coordinate axes and scale.

Other goals

[ ] (Long term) Verify each step in localization to display pipeline to identify source of shakiness
[ ] Verify that we can run multiple ORB-SLAM instances on one workstation

Gaming and Controls:

ROS and Game networking
- [x] update drone position in Unity from pose estimate in ROS
- [ ] send controller information from Unity to ROS
- can send dummy information from Unity to ROS
[ ] Get code and documentation for communication from ROS to Unity implemented by Jim
- @Jim
[ ] Publish most recent game version to GitHub

Other:

[x] Contact Davis Unified School District Facilities Use dept for testing area
- We received a definite no from DJUSD
Stereo camera is still tabled.

This week:

Localization:

[ ] Fix discrepancy between ORB-SLAM coordinate axes and scale and quadcopter coordinate axes and scale.
