Yeah, to me this is the most glaring items that is missing from an otherwise
excellent service!
A simple example - I'd like to track the number of glasses of water I drink in
a day.
Right now, I can see the # of glasses in the last 24 hours with 'Last Day' but
knowing I've had 6 glasses in the last 24 hours isn't the same as knowing I've
had
one today (and 5 at the end of the day yesterday), or 6 today (an none at the
end of
the day yesterday).
So my request is add a "This calendar day" sort of option, please!

Exactly! The settings panel already is requesting your timezone, which the data
parameters for "today" can be already defined. I am much more keen on what may
day activity is in comparison to the last 24hrs. Every morning my internal
clock resets when I wake up, which should mean that my timespan for today
should reset too.
Additionally, this may lead to other display options that can help people
establish goals. Goals and Milestones seem to be a growing wish for some
individuals in this wikiboard.
For example, you rode 44 miles yesterday but you have only rode 14 miles by
lunch today. Which means that I am -30 miles so far for today in comparison to
yesterday. That will motivate me to ride more in the afternoon. However, this
feature will not be able to be achieved until Daytum solves the "today" time
parameter definition.
