Is this project deprecated? With python 3.12, there is an issue with configparser in versioneer.py.

Looks like there is a pull request to fix this, but it has not been applied yet: https://github.com/quantopian/empyrical/pull/137

Plus one on this. This issue blocks people from being able to use the package easily and effectively.
