Logitech DualAction binds up/down, left/right to same keys #2

Closed GoogleCodeExporter closed 9 years ago

GoogleCodeExporter commented 9 years ago
What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Select Logitech DualAction as controller 1 device
2. Double-click one of up, down, left, right and press corresponding d-hat
button
3.

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
After pressing up, for example, up and down are bound to the same key.
Expected to see only "up" bound and to be able to bind "down" to a different
key.

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
r91, OS X 10.6.5

Please provide any additional information below.

This is a convenience feature that that hasn't been extensively tested. If
Macifom detects that the button you pressed for Up, Down, Left or Right is an
axis, it configures the pair (Up/Down or Left/Right) to use that axis. If the
button pressed is not an axis, it should behave in the way you're expecting.
Does this prevent you from configuring the Logitech DualAction?

I'm having the same issue as well. I am using a Logitech Dual Action as well
for the Mac OSX 10.6.6 I'd like to know if there is a method of debugging the
system or someway to unbind them so that my character doesn't always "go to the
left". If there's a way to fix it let me know. I'm no computer or technological
wizard so to have this figured in simple terms would be fantastic. Even the
guide....sadly is very foreign to me >.<;;; Here is a snap shot of what I have
to show you of what I am dealing with. Everything is fine minus a few things.
But I just wish I could figure them out myself. But again not 100% tech savy.
If anyone can figure out what I am suppose to do in the attached screen shot I
would be very grateful, maybe it would crack the could on my person who is just
stuck "going to the left".

I am having a similar issue with an Xbox 360 controller. It's binds 27 or 28 to
the up/down and left/right keys. Also within the game dpads and joysticks do
nothing. Only the start/select/A/B buttons work.

I am using a Logitech Rumblepad 2, and it does the same thing, so in-game I can
only move either up or down and left or right. Please fix this... there's not a
single other NES emulator with joystick support that doesn't use the stupid
Emulator Enhancer.

There's a fix for this coming in Macifom v.16, which is currently in final
testing. You can test it out yourself in rev. 95 of trunk.

The gamepad works properly now, but Up&Down and Left&Right still appear to be
bound at the same time (i.e., when I bind Up, Down also shows as being bound to
the same axis without my having bound it yet). Is this a convenience feature?

Sounds like things are working correctly now. When an axis is found, it
automatically binds the opposite direction to speed up configuration a bit.
