mouse only moves inside a small box on the screen

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. I started colonization
2. I tried to point at stuff with my mouse
3. Mouse only moves within a small area on the screen

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
Mouse should be able to move across the whole screen but it doesn't. 
Calibrating the touchscreen doesn't seem to have any effect. When I reboot the 
system the box where the mouse moves usually changes to a different place even 
if I didn't calibrate the touchscreen.

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
I'm using the latest version 2.5. I'm using it on a notion ink adam with a 
beast rom 2.2.1. which is based on Froyo.
