1080i Scrambled with Boxee Auto-Installed KODI #156

I just did a factory reset on my BoxeeBox, updated to 1.6.0 of Hacks, then telnetted to the Boxee to install KODI. The problem is that my TV, a Hitachi 51F500, only supports 1080i on the DVI connection (no HDMI). With the standard Boxee firmware, it falls back to 720p by default and works fine. If I try to force the resolution to 1080i, I get scrambled video, then blackness. When I loaded KODI, it defaulted it to 1080i once it loaded and I cannot fix it. I've searched documentation of KODI to either edit the guisettings.xml or add an advancedsettings.xml to the USB stick I'm using as secondary storage. Is this a problem with these alpha/beta versions of KODI for the Boxee or do I just have a piece of crap TV? If it's as simple as fixing the settings in the XML file and rebooting, I'm more than capable, but there is zero documentation on what these settings should be to set it to 720p.

So, I was able to fix this and get it working. I shut down the Boxee with the button. Then, unplugged it and plugged it back in. Turned it back on. Bingo! And, KODI loaded pretty quickly, too (faster than previous XBMC versions attempted).

It might be worth noting this for those that might end up with sync issues on older TVs (not sure if it's related to older TVs or just 1080i over DVI in general). I've had to return media switches because of sync issues with the Boxee, too.

Thanks for all the hard work!
