On the first use I didnt get any sounds. Now I do get what sounds like a goose being spanked lol

Yes, I put it there as a stopgap because I thought it was funny. Something more serious is coming in the next build.

I would suggest for PDC clearance acceptance, instead of using Wilco or Unable etc., use real world system where you either accept or choose "request" option, which sends you back to PDC clearance request where you can modify your requested clearance with new info

Thanks for the suggestion. Going in, this was the plan I had for PDCs. The reason it doesn't work like this at the moment is because of a limitation with the Hoppie network. Put simply, ATC decides what reply options are available for the message and sends that as part of the message. If I send a reply that isn't one specified, it will not be counted as a valid response.

I could do some workaround to have the options display "ACCEPT", "REJECT" etc and handle the disparity in the background, if you think that'd make it more realistic. In terms of modifying the request, I would need to look at the documentation again, but at present I believe you would need to reject the current request before sending a new one with how Hoppie currently handles them.

Nevertheless, I shall investigate this weekend and get back to you. I'm hoping to push a new build on Sunday, so depending on how that goes this may or may not be included.

On a type i am currently flying, you cant reject ATC clearance, we only have option ACCEPT and REQ, and 2nd one takes you back to DEP CLRX page where you have to I guess write remarks with what you didnt like or cant accept in previous clearance, never had a case where i would reject clearance :)

New version just pushed! I've developed a workaround at the moment that should change the options for DCLs to ACCEPT/REJECT. I can't guarantee that it'll work 100% of the time, and it comes with the caveat that it might not work for clearances from the UK, but within the limitations I've got to work with at the moment it's about the best I can do.

What do I mean is to have a buttons with the DEP/ARR airport ready to inserted by a click on the METAR/TAF or other location where required. for the alternative I believe we can write but this airports (DEP/ARR) are the most common info entered each time and if we can just entered by a click make this app even more easy to use.

For this CTP, unfortunately not. It's something I've been working with Gander to get organised but the amount of effort required to get the controller clients updated to include everything that would be required (Hoppie integration into the euroscope plugin, conflict detection etc) plus the existence of competing and more universal solutions (ads-b and nattrak) have made it unfeasible. Domestically, I understand that VATUK and VATCAN will be running CPDLC so you'll have it on both sides of the pond, but the oceanic controllers can't run CPDLC at the moment.

In fairness to the oceanic controllers, a new version of NATTRAK is being introduced in time for CTP which is very, very good, and should make getting oceanic clearance very easy this year, it's just not on the cards for CPDLC in any capacity as the controllers don't have it.

I'm pushing to get this changed in time for Eastbound CTP this autumn.

What do the messages say? There should be more than just "SYSTEMS MESSAGE"

Something along the lines of being unable to retrieve messages and it will retry. It may be a Hoppie issue since I see it with the cpdcl client as well.

Interesting. I didn't really account for Hoppie having issues when I build EasyCPDLC. It'll just keep trying until it works. Sorry gents. I'll tidy that up for the next build.
